Boiler, Novacain, 1930

Steel
Catalogue no. 2002

Pressed steel, nickel-plated circular container of 30cc capacity with widely flared top. Calibration marks inside at the 25cc and 28cc capacity. With twisted wire frame to hold when heated. One of many used in the local extraction room of the Dental Hospital of Melbourne. The local anaesthetic came in the form of tablets one of which was placed in the boiler with the correct amount of Ringers Solution and boiled. The flared out top was to prevent loss of solution if heating heated too rapidly.
